So today remained stable. As I mentioned previously, I will take stable anytime! Scott is still feeling gloomy and I told him it’s OK for now because he is in SICU fighting pneumonia and trying to digest this frightening situation. Totally understandable. At this point, I told Scott that he needs to rest and try to stay as positive as feasible and we’ll pray him through. However, the nurse made mention that if Scott continues to do well he foresees a possible move to rehab next week:) When Scott gets to rehab I told him that he needs to then work on using the flood of emotions he feels to fuel his fire of determination. Rehab is going to be tough BUT wonderful for Scott. The people on the rehab floor are so inspiring. Their optimism is contagious and I know that Scott will feed off of that.

As I read through the guestbook I noticed that several of our extended family at Bronson Hospital took time to check in on us. I want you to know how special that makes us feel! I know that you all see so many different families and your days remain as hectic as they were when we were there and yet you take the time to check in on us. Since you’re reading our journal I want you to know how much your hard work is appreciated. I can’t tell you how much it meant to us to be shown the support you gave us. I speak for the entire family when I tell you that although we were many miles from our home you made us feel as though we had a second home with you. So many of you took the time to console us when we broke down. You comforted us when we needed it most. You listened to us when we just needed to vent. THANK YOU! You touched our hearts.

Thank you all for the continued support. Scott asked me to express his gratitude as well. Although we don’t always feel like we are keeping our head above water we are surviving because of the prayers you are offering up. Thank you.
