It’s been a relatively low-key week so far. Unfortunately, I’ve been on bed rest most of the week trying to alleviate a pressure sore. I only get up about 2 to 4 hours a day. The rest of the time is spent trying to lay on my side in bed. It gets pretty boring, but I have been able to set up my PC in a way that allows me to still operate it while laying down.

We did get over to the apartment on Wednesday for the evaluation. Things went pretty well, and events are in motion to get all of the equipment ordered that will be needed. There are still a lot of things that need to happen, but we are working through them in as systematic an approach as possible. It will be nice to take a big sigh of relief once everything is complete.

There’s a lot of great football this weekend which will help pass the time. For us Cleveland fans, though, it’s tough to root for a winner in the AFC since all the teams in some way or another have a negative history with Cleveland. However, that won’t stop me from enjoying some great games.

Finally, I can officially start the process to get my helper monkey now that I am moving out! This will be an adventure I’m sure! I have no idea what to expect, but figure whatever it is, I will be able to handle it.

As always, thank you so much for all your prayers and support!  Is greatly appreciated!

Scott

Scott, I am so happy that you will be getting into a apartment. What are you going to call the monkey?? I laughed so hard that you want a reality show. Your ability to take people by surprise , is a real gift. I hope you do it. I love the name you gave it. Many people are interested in all the things you have chosen to share with the public. Bringing a realism to the life you now live, is a wonderful thing. You are showing people that the person with the challenge in life……well it ‘s up to them. Big or small we can all do it. I continue to pray daily for you and yours. You are one amazing person Scott Fedor. If anyone can succeed this difficulty it is you. Continued success on all you do. I am excited about the book, movie, reality show that we will all be seeing in the future. Go get em…….Karen Herman

Remember I’m from Wisconsin–Go Pack Go!! They won last week and I’m not sure how well they’ll play this week. I’m still rooting for the green and gold!

Hi Scott, after your last update, I wrote to Mike Holmes @ Make It Right to see if there was anyway he could help you with you building a new home, but their response was they only do things in Canada and are kept busy doing that. In watching his show, I knew he would do you right in the building things the right way, I’m sorry he can’t be of help to you! We’ll keep trying and praying for guidance and help!

Hey bro…what are you gonna name the monkey? I think you should get a girl, b/c I am not kidding, male monkeys tend to , well, um, like the other comment “steal the show”–but in more than a cute way…talking crude behaviors (you can fig out). Hope all is well. DO you remember me briefly discussing a nurse I know in Cleveland? I cannot remember if we talked about it ever–but her name is Toni and she is actually my first cousin. She is exactly the kind of nurse that could help you for awhile. I will FB you her number. Take care and I am always in touch.

    Hey Scott,

OMG, a helper monkey is a perfect idea. I saw something a long time ago about an individual with MS who had a helper monkey. And of course, the monkey will “steal the reality show”, but you probably already thought of that, didn’t you?

    God Bless,

    Jody

    Hi Scott,

I looked into getting some lambs wool to help with bed sores. The store that carries it is in Middleburgh Hts and has it for $100 about the size of a horse blanket that goes under the saddle. I don’t know if this would help or not.
Glad to hear you are getting close to moving from the nursing home.

    Hi Scott
Sorry to hear about your periods of enforced bed rest. As a nurse I know how frustrating it can be for patients with pressure sores. But hey a monkey that sounds so exciting and yet I am sure will be an adventure. Whats the policies for taking monkeys to concerts, restaurants etc. Here only guide dogs are allowed in public places. Sounds like fun!!
    Lots of love

    ;Hi Scott,
Sorry to hear about your pressure sore but so glad that your move to the apartment is moving along nicely. I am sure you will enjoy the game on Saturday. It certainly has been an exciting two weeks for college games with the close, last minute results of Ohio State and the BCS game.
Always glad to hear from you and as always, in my prayers.
    Love,
    Cherry
