So it’s not exactly the Super Bowl, but I figured the above picture of me standing on the Dallas star of the old Texas Stadium was appropriate for this weekend, considering the big game is back in Dallas

I am looking forward to the game on Sunday! I’ve never been a Packers fan but will be this weekend as they take on the Steelers. As a diehard Browns fan the only thing worse than the Browns having another losing season is Pittsburgh winning another title. Sorry to all my friends who love the Black and Gold but I am a Cheesehead this weekend. Packers 27 — Steelers 24.

It’s been a cold week of weather but things are heating up and moving along towards my move into my apartment. There are still a lot of details that need to fall into place and it’s possible that I may need to sit tight for a little longer while we wait for that to happen. However, we’re only talking a week or two and I can definitely manage that. Knowing there is actually some type of finality on the immediate horizon certainly makes handling the little bumps in the road much easier.

One of the visitors I had this week is the brother of a Hollywood actor. A few weeks back he agreed to give his brother a copy of the screenplay I wrote, Every Good Intention. While he was here this week he told me that his brother had it and was planning to read it as soon as things settled down from all the activities surrounding last week’s Sundance Film Festival. He was in a movie that premiered at the festival and is getting a lot of buzz! I want to respect the actor’s privacy since he is doing me a favor, but I promise to give more details if things were to progress further. I’m realistic but still like to dream. We also talked a little bit about the TV show ideas I’ve mentioned in the past. His brother is also a producer who is always interested in hearing of potential ideas that are fresh and engaging. Like I said, we all need a pipe dream to keep us distracted every now and then!

Kristy and I had another great date night last night, but I especially enjoyed it because I got a shave out of it. The combination of a five o’clock shadow, the cold and dry air, and not being able to move your hands or arms to scratch yourself is a recipe for an extremely itchy and irritated face! Plus, she also brought Kingsley up for a visit. Kingsley, usually not the most affectionate cat when she visits, decided last night that she wanted to show me her love while I was eating. She jumped up on the chair and started rubbing her head and body against my face while Kristy was trying to shove Subway into my mouth. Needless to say, I enjoyed a few cat hairs with my turkey and veggie sub. However, I was happy to head butt Kingsley back and let her know how much I love her too!

Finally, I thought I would close today’s Journal with a Native American quote someone sent me from the book, Earth Medicine.

“The Great Mystery, Maker of All Things, has given each human being the opportunity to grow beyond limitation through experiencing the challenges of the tangible world. Those who have been tested by struggles and sorrows, and continue to love life and all human beings, are the Wisdom Keepers. These faithful two–leggeds have a path to healing and personal growth.”

Thank you to everyone for your continued prayers and support!  Enjoy the game!

Scott

My PACKERS won!! We enjoyed the game and my friends in Wisconsin were cheering so loud you could almost here them in Ohio.

It’s great to hear how things are progressing for you–one step at a time. Good luck with the apartment and screen play!

I am thrilled to hear about your screenplay. You are such a FABULOUS writer – I know, too, that you will become rich and famous. I especially LOVE the title – Every Good Intention.

I can’t wait to hear about your move into the apartment – oh, how anxious you must be!!!! I hope it happens sooner rather than later.

Thanks for ALWAYS inspiring! I’m glad the PACKERS won – just for you!

    God Bless You,
    (Bobbi’s friend)

    You are a wisdom keeper.
Thrilled to hear your screen play is being read. And please remember the next one that I want you to write!!

We took my dad home yesterday. He is unable to walk and is very demanding. He’s not the kind that responds to cheerleading. Also, every pain deserves a pill!

    I miss seeing you.

    Happy Super Bowl!
