I asked to be a guest commentator for the day. It is 4 weeks since Scott’s accident and we would like to express the following:
First of all, we want to thank God and the Blessed Virgin Mary for returning Scott to us. We want to thank Kristy, the love of his life, for pulling him out of the water and to Angie and the “unknown Angel” for breathing life back into his body. We are forever grateful!
Thank you to Gary and Karen for treating Scott as if he were their own son and getting him the help and services he needed as quickly as possible. Thank you to Rob, Amanda, Sean, Collin, Ryan and Avery for fighting with Scott every step of the way.
We want to thank Dr. Maltz and the staff at Bronson Methodist Hospital for everything they did to assist Scott; from the surgeons, to the trauma doctors and nurses, to the OT’s, PT’s, RT’s, case managers, social workers and all other support staff. Your dedication and belief in our son will never be forgotten.
We want to thank our daughter, Lindsey, for all her assistance in getting us the connections we needed to bring Scott back to Cleveland – with her contacts at the Achievement Center, the assistance of Tim, and the persistence of the Social Workers and Case Managers at Bronson, we were able to bring Scott home to Cleveland Metro Hospital.
We want to thank Mike for his tireless trips back and forth to Bronson so that Lindsey could be by her brother’s side.
Thank you to my friend, Doris, who was there at the beginning to provide spiritual support to us all and continues to do so.
We want all of Scott’s guestbook visitors to know how much your love and committment to Scott has helped us through this journey. All the positive energy and prayers that you are offering for Scott can’t help but be noticed by the Lord above.
We know that Scott has a long road to recovery ahead of him; yet, we have no doubt that with his determination and stubbornness, he will succeed. We have never known Scott to back down from a challenge, and even though this one is probably bigger than any challenge he could have possibly imagined, he will persevere and succeed.
We are currently establishing a trust fund for Scott. We will also be holding a fund raiser on Saturday, August 29, 2009. It will be held at Camp Cheerful in Strongsville, Ohio from 6 PM until Midnight. We will provide more details shortly about both of these. In the meantime, please contact Lindsey at 440-263-2813 or at lfedor626@aol.com if you can assist with donations and/or food. We would appreciate your support in these endeavors.
God Bless All of You,
Roberta and Felix Fedor
