We just want to provide a quick update – all the details will follow shortly.
Scott has been transferred to Regency Hospital in Middleburg Heights, Ohio. The purpose of the move is to wean Scott from the ventilator. It is something that Regency specializes in. Scott has been doing extremely well with the pacing system and it was felt that he was ready to get off the vent. This would be huge. There are only 2 nursing homes that will take Scott if he is still on the vent, and neither one of them is acceptable to us or Scott. If he is off the vent, the possibilities for placement are much larger. We are not sure how long he will be at Regency, but we don’t anticipate it will be more than 8 days. He will then return to Metro until his October 27th discharge date.
The visiting hours at Regency are very flexible. If you are interested in visiting please let us know.
We will try to keep you posted as much as possible on everything that is happening.
The days and nights are very full for Kristy and there is little time for much of anything else. She is busy learning all the caregiver responsibilities and Lindsey will start her training shortly. Her days and nights have been occupied by work.
We have had some inquiries regarding donations for Scott. As a reminder, please make checks payable to: Scott Fedor
Discretionary Assistance Trust c/o 18562 Evergreen Drive, Strongsville, Ohio 44149- the account is held at the National City Bank in Strongsville, Ohio.
Please remember that Scott and Kristy still have a home for sale in Inwood, WV and if you know of anyone who might be relocating to the Washington, DC or Virginia area, please keep that in mind.
Please continue to keep Scott and all of us in your prayers. He is trying to stay as positive as possible, but he still has many moments of depression and sadness over what he has lost, but continues to believe in miracles and what God has in store for him.
God bless you all!
Bobbi Fedor
